My Black Skin In Collaboration With ACLT A celebrity/press studded gala will take place this October, 2012; in celebration of "Black History Month". This event will bring International awareness to the charity involved: The African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust in collaboration with a short film being incorporated: "My Black Skin". "My Black Skin" is based on a poem written by actor/writer Nicholas Pinnock & inspired by Black History Month. Since writing the poem, Nicholas along with Ryan Elliott - producer at Odd Boy Film - have further developed the idea for it to become a short film. Various personalities will be reciting lines from the poem, which will be filmed as a talking heads type styled piece. Current talent attached to the project include: The Duchess of York, footballers John Barnes & Viv Anderson MBE, designers Bruce Oldfield & Romero Bryan, The Omosu Brothers, Jazz Musican Julian Joseph, Actors Jimmy Akingbola, Sharon Duncan Brewster, Ray Fearon, Rudolph Walker, Singers Ashley Walters, Kane Robinson, Shaznay Lewis, TV Presenters Ortis Deley, Michael Underwood, DJ Spoony & much more... Beneficiaries of the hard work of the ACLT will also be featured & recognized on this wonderful night.
